What is the difference between SGP ionic interfilm and PVB laminated glass?

The early laminated glass generally adopts the laminated glass produced by pvb film; Since pvb film was originally developed for automotive glass rather than for the building curtain wall industry, although it has been used for many years in the construction engineering industry, the use of a wide range and good results have been achieved, but because pvb film is elastic, relatively soft, and the shear modulus is small, there will be relative slippage, reduced bearing capacity, and large bending deformation between the two glass forces. At the same time, the exposed edge of pvb film laminated glass is susceptible to moisture opening and yellow phenomenon is easy to use for a long time, so pvb film laminated glass can be used for general glass curtain wall, not suitable for high-performance glass curtain wall.

The shear modulus of Ion-type film SGP is more than 50 times that of PVB, and the tearing strength is 5 times that of PVB. Two pieces of glass are like a piece of glass, the bearing capacity is twice that of PVB laminated glass, and under the same load and the same thickness, the bending of SGP laminated glass is only 1/4 of that of PVB laminated glass.

SGP film laminated glass has the following properties:

1. The glass has high bonding ability, strong tearing strength, and can prevent the glass from breaking and flying.

2. Strong protection ability, can prevent natural disasters and human damage, strong winds, earthquakes, violence and other resistance.

3. It can withstand the sudden impact of indoor personnel, prevent the glass from flying or the whole out, and avoid indoor personnel and items from flying out.

4. There is enough residual bearing capacity, the glass will not fall off when it is bent after breaking.

5.SGP film has enough shear modulus to bend the entire section of laminated glass, improve the bearing capacity and bending steel of glass, and reduce the thickness and weight of glass.

Advantages of SGP laminated glass:

1, excellent mechanical function. SGP film has high strength and shearability, and its tolerance is twice that of PVB film of the same thickness. Under the same load and thickness, the bending deflection of SGP laminated glass is only one quarter of that of PVB laminated glass.

2, good side stability. Ordinary PVB film is prone to degumming, yellowing, bubbles and other phenomena during long-term use, and the yellowing coefficient is 6-12; SGP film can have good resistance to moisture, yellowing coefficient is less than 1.5;

3, excellent tear strength. The tear resistance of SGP adhesive film is 5 times that of PVB, even in the case of crushing, it can form a temporary safety structure, and will not make the glass fall under a certain load. It has natural resistance to strong wind, earthquake and other natural disasters and man-made damage such as knocking.

4. Radiation resistance. SGP laminated glass has good weather resistance, is not sensitive to external climate change, and will not turn yellow in long-term use.

5. Strong carrying capacity. When SGP laminated glass encounters heavy objects, the glass bond is good, even if the glass does not fall off at all. SGP film itself is colorless and transparent, excellent physical properties, and can be used with ultra-white glass to achieve better aesthetics and functionality.
